Fall 2018: Penny Boat Competition
In the Club's first semester, members were able to participate in a Penny Boat Competition. Students had to design a "boat" which could hold the maximum number of pennies without sinking. Volume and material constraints ensured that boats were similar but students got creative with modifying shapes, wall thicknesses, and weight distribution to get an edge in the competition!
Fall 2019: GM Design Challenge
During the Fall 2019 semester, the 3D Printing Club organized a design competition sponsored by GM. Student teams were tasked with creating and prototyping new or improved internal features of a car.
Congratulations to Tim, Trevor and Katie who have won the GM Design Challenge with their Pizza Visor!
